ADELAIDE ADVERTISER: BY CAMERON ENGLAND, CHIEF BUSINESS REPORTER |
MGM Wireless has capped off a successful year with the signing of two U.S. school districts for its messageyou anti-truancy system. The Adelaide-based company said today 25 U.S. schools had now signed on to use the system, which alerts parents by text message if their children are absent from school. "We are delighted to have signed up Fairmont Private Schools, based in Orange County in California," Mr Fortunatow said. The company had also signed the Sunnyside school district in Arizona. "Our sales momentum is building in the U.S.," Mr Fortunatow said. "MGM will enter the new year with a strong U.S. pipeline of new sales opportunities." "In recent months the company has been receiving up to 15 new leads for sales opportunities every week a large number for the company to process, but a great opportunity for our U.S. team." Mr Fortunatow said the opposing school calendar in the northern hemisphere meant the U.S. market would balance the sales flow from Australia, where schools shut down over Summer. About 370 Australian schools use the messageyou system, with a further 1050 Western Australian Government schools contracted to implement it. |
