ASX Announcement: MGM Wireless signs landmark whole-of-State contract with WA Department of Education and Training

2 October , 2007

Australia’s leading school text messaging solutions group, MGM Wireless Ltd, today announced it has signed a multi-year contract with the Western Australia Department of Education and Training to supply its messageyou™ software suite to WA government schools.

In a landmark, whole-of-State agreement, MGM Wireless will roll out its text communication and student attendance record-keeping suite, with initial orders anticipated by the Department to be in the order of 400 schools. Under the agreement, which commences in November 2007, MGM is now the preferred supplier for more than 800 WA schools.

MGM Wireless executive chairman Mr Mark Fortunatow said that the model adopted by the Department would streamline and modernise student attendance management, address student safety issues and enable the implementation of a broadcast text messaging service for emergency communication in WA schools.

“The WA Department of Education and Training is demonstrating its serious commitment to developing modern day communications between schools and school communities,” Mr Fortunatow said.  “This agreement represents a commitment to student welfare and safety that is yet to be matched by other Australian State education services.”

The product range now available to WA schools encompasses electronic roll-marking; text communications and alerts to mobile phones of parents; and the messageyou™Watchlists attendance analytics software.

messageyou™ is currently the solution of choice in more than 300 Australian schools, mainly at the secondary level. The WA deal extends the communication solution into primary schools. “WA educators can now keep parents fully informed about their children’s welfare and safety,” Mr Fortunatow said.

The WA deal more than doubles and potentially triples the number of Australian schools using messageyou™ and places MGM Wireless at the forefront of this technology on an international basis.

“This landmark deal is a tremendous boost for our Australian business and has the potential to double the revenues of our domestic operation,” Mr Fortunatow said. ”Furthermore, it comes at a time when we are experiencing unprecedented interest in the USA for our products and are about to kick start trials in two schools in India.”

MGM Wireless last month reported revenue of $2.198m for the year to June 30, 2007
