MGMWireless Delivers Latest Release of Message You™
ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA. March 12, 2003 - MGMWireless Pty. Ltd. today announced the latest release of its flagship Message You (MsgU™) suite.
Version 2.0 incorporates a number of new features designed to help organisations better manage their communications, reduce costs, improve efficiencies and more efficiently support their business and communication processes.
"We continually strive to optimise the experience of everyone who comes in contact with our system," said Mark Hurd, MGMWireless chief technology officer. "The most noteworthy enhancements address User preferences for not just sending but receiving messages, ActiveX classes to allow the 'embedding' of MsgU functionality into existing legacy applications and the automation of message broadcasts."
"The ability to receive messages has been the most frequently requested User feature," said Hurd. "A Message You installation can now have any number of 'Virtual Mobile Numbers" allocated. Mobile phone Users can send an SMS to the Virtual Number, and the message appears on the User's PC."Message You also addresses IT's desire for a variety of deployment options, including interfacing to existing databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft Access.
"Message You now incorporates a number of client-server type installation features," continued Hurd. "The Message You product suite is engineered to match our customers' existing systems infrastructure. This ensures a smooth and low cost installation and support path."As customers use a mobile phone messaging system such as Message You, a commonly requested feature is the ability to automate the sending of messages from legacy applications. With the release of Message You version 2.0, MGMWireless introduced ActiveX classes that can be embedded into existing applications, or alternatively used within Customer developed script files. This significantly reduces the costs, labour and time associated with sending messages generated by the Customer's existing business processes.
Additional functionality delivered within Message You addresses the User's desire for increased flexibility with expanded business rules for storing and managing messages and mobile phone data such as templates, archiving and sharing messages and phone book folders across the enterprise's PC network. This reduces workarounds such as managing multiple data repositories.
"The new release of Message You also gives the business enterprise greater flexibility in performing and implementing communication strategies to mobile audiences. Message You better matches the way the business enterprises wish to disseminate data to mobile audiences every day."
